Morgan Wallen Back In The Headlines
Teasing Tracks & TV appearances
On Tuesday, Morgan Wallen teased his new song “Come Back as a Redneck” with a video full of dirt bikes and target practice. The track calls out a “trust fund kid” mocking rural life, wishing they could live it to understand it. Tune in below:
The teaser follows Wallen’s buzzed-about SNL appearance and a cryptic Instagram post that sparked reactions from cast member Kenan Thompson.
In case you missed ALL of this, let’s recap:
Wallen appeared on Saturday Night Live on March 29th, performing two songs from his upcoming album, I’m the Problem, set to release on May 16, 2025. But it wasn’t the tracks that got people stirring online… He appeared ‘deadpan’ and almost disconnected form the live show in the opening broadcast and abruptly left at thee close, foregoing the customary on-stage farewells with the cast. You can see his 2020 vs 2025 appearance here.
But, the stunt doesn’t end there with Wallen as he posted an Instagram Story following the broadcast, featuring a private jet with the caption “Get me to God’s country” – a phrase that quickly went viral and was later commercialised into merchandise… yes, in just a matter of days!
