Watch Ella Langley’s New “Loving Life Again” Live Session

Rising country music star Ella Langley is treating fans to a deeply intimate, acoustic performance of her latest single. Ahead of her highly anticipated sophomore album, Dandelion, Langley has dropped a breathtaking, stripped-back rendition of “Loving Life Again” on YouTube as part of her new Back Home Sessions.

The Healing Power of Returning to Your Roots

“Loving Life Again” is arguably one of Langley’s most personal releases to date. The Alabama native has recently been transparent about the burnout and mental health hurdles she faced as her career took off. To protect her peace, she took a necessary step back from the industry, returning home to spend time with her loved ones and reconnect with her faith.

This song was born from that restorative season. The lyrics beautifully capture the nostalgia of childhood memories, the comfort of a front porch swing, and the clarity that comes from escaping the noise of the world.

“Just like that, I’m back to loving life again / Dreaming dreams about back home riding on the wind / When I close my eyes, I find some peace in the back of my mind / In between them pines where I’m jumping on that quarter horse, and then / Just like that, I’m back to loving life again.”

Inside the ‘Back Home Sessions’ Visuals

The video for this acoustic rendition perfectly mirrors the grounded, earthy vibe of the track. Filmed outdoors in a lush, peaceful pasture with horses roaming in the background, the setting is pure country serenity.

Langley delivers her signature gritty, soulful vocals completely barefoot, wearing a gorgeous, flowing patchwork dress. Her backing band leans into the rustic aesthetic, sporting matching denim, white button-down shirts, brown boots, and black suspenders. The arrangement is delicate and layered, allowing the raw emotion of Langley’s voice to take center stage.

The performance has already caught the attention of her peers. Country singer Tucker Wetmore jumped into the comments to simply declare, “This is good,” while American Idol contestant Hannah Harper couldn’t help but shout out Langley’s wardrobe, writing, “That DRESSSSS.”
