Drop It Like It’s… Country? Snoop Dogg Joins ERNEST On New Track
Artists outside of the ever growing country music genre have been dipping their toes in for a little while now, but Snoop Dogg? Not sure we saw that one coming around the bend!
The rap legend has become the latest collaborator in music city, singing (yes, not rapping!) on ERNEST’s new release, Gettin’ Gone. The genre-blending single sees Snoops West Coast style merged with ERNEST’s Nashville roots and we think it’s gonna go off.
Filmed on Nashville’s iconic broadway – packed with humour, swagger, and a whole lot of Southern charm – and we gotta say, it’s kind of catchy!
The partnership between the two icons in their own right, originated from a backstage meeting during one of ERNEST’s performances. ERNEST played the track for Snoop, who was immediately captivated and expressed interest in contributing – within days, Snoop recorded his verses, and the rest as they say is history…
Gettin’ Gone serves as the lead single for ERNEST’s upcoming project, Cadillac Sessions, set to release in May and this track marks the inaugural release from ERNEST’s newly established DeVille Records, under the Big Loud label.
