Kane Brown Talks Fitness, Fast Cars & Fatherhood

In a wide-ranging and unfiltered appearance on The Bobby Bones Show, Kane Brown opened up about life on and off the road, covering everything from monster trucks and Lamborghinis to his transformative 60-hour fast, acting debut, and his new single, “Backseat Driver.” It’s a portrait of a country star in constant motion, determined to evolve but still grounded in the moments that made him.

Check out this previous podcast where Kane talks about his childhood struggles & social media stardom.

“I Was Getting Too Big”: Kane Brown’s 60-Hour Fast Changed Everything

When Kane Brown decided to take on a 60-hour fast while holed up in a snowed-in hotel in Quebec, he wasn’t expecting it to spark a full fitness transformation. At the time, life on tour meant late-night burgers, often two Five Guys cheeseburgers at 2 a.m. before crashing. His goal had been to bulk up, and he hit 205 pounds without even realising how far he’d gone.

But the fast broke more than a hunger cycle. “It made me not want to put anything bad in my body,” Brown said. Now, he’s moved from casual lifting to serious bodybuilding, sticking to a strict meat-and-vegetable diet.

Surprisingly, he says the hardest part wasn’t the hunger, but the boredom. “I’d just find myself opening the fridge out of habit,” he said, noting how the experience rewired how he thought about food and discipline.

When he finally broke the fast with chicken and rice, even a sprinkle of pepper felt extreme. His throat reacted so strongly it took several meals to recalibrate. But the results spoke for themselves, his back and shoulders now dominate his physique, something he and his trainer have leaned into.

Inside Kane Brown’s Truck Obsession: The Story Behind “K-Rex”

For fans who’ve spotted the toy monster truck sitting on Bobby’s desk, that’s not a gimmick. It’s a tribute to “K-Rex,” the nickname for the first truck Kane bought after signing his record deal: a lifted GMC Denali he’d promised to buy from a high school friend if he ever scored a No. 1 single. That promise came true after “What Ifs” topped the charts.

The truck has since been retired, but not forgotten. A full-sized monster truck version was recently built, and Kane got the chance to drive it, though handlers kept shutting it off as soon as he got too comfortable.

Kane Brown’s Lamborghini: Dream Car or Pain in the Neck?

Brown’s love for vehicles doesn’t stop at trucks. He now owns a Lamborghini Huracán Spider, a car he bought after teaching himself how to invest. “I told myself I’d never spend that kind of money,” he said. “But I turned a small investment into a Lambo, and that’s why I did it.”

Still, it’s not exactly practical. At 6’2″, Kane struggles to fit into the convertible, saying the windshield sits at eye level and forces him to slide down in the seat just to see stoplights. “If you’re over 6’2”, don’t do it,” he warned, laughing.

As for resale? Don’t bet on it. After taking the Lambo in for a routine oil change, he was convinced to add twin turbos instead. “That’s where they get you,” he joked. “Now it’s even faster.”

Kane Brown Is Headed to Hollywood in “The Token Groomsman”

Kane also revealed he’s signed on to make his acting debut in a new film titled “The Token Groomsman”, starring Taylor Lautner. Although filming hasn’t started, he says the script is “hilarious,” and his role, the best friend to Lautner’s character, is the perfect introduction to acting.

The plot centres around Lautner’s character being invited to a billionaire’s wedding, and Brown’s character egging him on to attend. The film is set to shoot in Italy, which will mark Kane’s first visit to the country.

“Backseat Driver” Feels Like Home: Kane Brown’s New Single Is Deeply Personal

“Backseat Driver,” the latest single from Kane’s newest album, nearly never happened. The song had been floating around Nashville for four to five years, passed on by multiple artists before Kane cut it. When he heard it, the lyrics hit home immediately.

He connected deeply with the nostalgia of the song, McDonald’s orange juice and sausage biscuits on the way to school mirrored his own childhood so closely it felt like his story was already written in the lyrics. Though his kids don’t get drive-thru breakfasts (his wife would object), the sentiment brought him back to those formative mornings.

“Everything about the song, it’s just me,” he said.

A Return to Social Media and the “Old Era” of Kane Brown

After taking a step back from social media to focus on fatherhood and mental health, Kane says he’s ready to come back stronger, but this time with purpose. He’s calling it a return to “Old Era KB with a twist,” and fans should expect to see a lot more of him online.

“I’m really about to focus on the social media aspect and blow this song up,” he said. “Y’all are about to get annoyed with me.”

Tour Dates 2025: U.S. Shows and a European Run This Fall

Kane Brown’s 2025 tour calendar is already stacked with shows across the U.S., and Europe is on the horizon for October. He’ll be playing a mix of festivals and headline gigs, and while he joked about “three shows in Guilford, New Jersey,” his official schedule (available at KaneBrown.com) runs through the end of the year.

Final Thoughts: Nonstop Evolution

Whether it’s fasting, fast cars, or a fast-paced move into acting, Kane Brown is a man in motion. What makes his 2025 run feel different is how much of it he’s now driving with intention, in his health, his career, and his music. And with “Backseat Driver” steering the way, fans are getting a front-row seat to one of country music’s most versatile stars.
