Are Florida Georgia Line Reuniting?
Florida Georgia Line defined an entire era of country music. Lately, fans have noticed a massive surge in nostalgia for that signature 2010s sound across social media platforms like TikTok. Naturally, this resurgence has sparked countless rumors about a potential reunion between Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard.
Brian and his wife, Brittney Kelley, recently sat down with Mary O’Neal Phillips on the Country Outdoors Podcast during the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) convention. The wide ranging interview offered fans a candid update on the future of Florida Georgia Line, the massive success of the Tribe Kelley clothing line, and the couple’s deep connection to the outdoor lifestyle.
Tribe Kelley Meets Mossy Oak
The interview kicked off with a celebration of Brittney’s clothing brand, Tribe Kelley. The company is currently celebrating its twelfth year and recently launched a highly successful collaboration with Mossy Oak. The partnership was a massive hit at the NWTF convention, with their booth nearly selling out of merchandise by the final day.
For Brittney, partnering with a legendary outdoor brand was a natural fit. Growing up in a tiny town in Georgia, she was raised bow hunting, turkey hunting, and fishing. She noted that wearing Mossy Oak was simply a staple of her childhood.
A core pillar of Tribe Kelley is its strict commitment to being made in America. Brittney explained that domestic manufacturing gives her total control over the creative process and aligns perfectly with her personal values.
“To be made in America, it gives you access to your factories where you can just pop in or change a neckline or put a little length on something and then quickly be able to do that.”
Brian expressed immense pride in his wife’s trendsetting abilities, noting how special it has been to see fans and the outdoor industry rally around the brand so enthusiastically.
Addressing the Florida Georgia Line Reunion Rumors
With the classic Florida Georgia Line sound trending heavily online, the question on every fan’s mind is whether the iconic duo will officially get back together. While Brian is currently enjoying massive success with his solo career and his recent summer release “93 in the Keys,” he did not shy away from the reunion question.
When asked directly about getting the band back together, Brian offered a thoughtful and grounded response. He stated that life is good right now and he is incredibly grateful for the unbelievable run Florida Georgia Line experienced. However, his current focus is on rebuilding the foundation of his relationship with his former bandmate.
“Right now I think just working on our brotherhood is top tier most important for us. And I think Lord willing the brotherhood will lead its way home.”
Brian emphasized that they are both focused on their friendship and their individual solo projects. He noted that they are allowing time to do its work, trusting their faith, and leaving the door wide open for whatever the future holds for Florida Georgia Line.
Trading Stages for Sport Fishing
When Brian is not writing songs or playing shows, he is fully immersed in competitive sport fishing. He is currently a co-owner of the Gulf Coast Cowboys, a competitive sport fishing team in the SFC League.
While he grew up bass fishing in Florida retention ponds and golf courses, his current passion requires a completely different level of skill and technology. The team competes primarily for blue marlin.
Brian explained that modern blue marlin fishing is highly technical. The team uses sophisticated sonar systems to actively mark and locate the fish deep underwater. Once they spot a marlin on the screen, they maneuver the boat to drag a live bait directly in front of the fish. The league operates on a points based, no kill system, and the ultimate goal for the Gulf Coast Cowboys is to accumulate enough points to reach the championship tournament in Cabo San Lucas.
Hunting Stories and Yeezy Slides
Beyond the stage and the open ocean, the Kelleys remain deeply connected to the woods. The couple shared several hilarious and memorable hunting stories during the podcast.
Brian recalled a recent Florida turkey hunt where he completely forgot his hunting boots. Unwilling to miss out on the action, he spent the entire hunt trekking through three miles of mud and rattlesnake territory wearing a pair of Yeezy slides.
Brittney also shared a memorable story about Brian harvesting his first buck on her family’s property in Georgia.
The hunt was highly unusual. The couple watched the buck moving erratically in and out of a dry creek bed for hours before Brian finally got a clear shot. Upon retrieving the deer, they discovered the buck had been interacting with an injured doe, explaining the strange behavior. Despite the bizarre circumstances, Brian described that specific afternoon as one of the absolute best outdoor experiences of his life.
Leaving a Quiet Legacy
As the interview came to a close, the host asked the couple what they ultimately want to be remembered for. Their answers bypassed their massive music and business milestones, focusing instead on character.
Brittney highlighted their commitment to sticking to their morals, leaning into their faith, and resting in the truth during difficult times over the last five years. Brian echoed her sentiments, adding that he wants to be remembered for working hard and quietly giving back to others. He specifically noted how much he admires his parents for helping people in their local community without ever seeking public recognition.
Whether fans are tracking Brian’s next fishing tournament, shopping the latest Tribe Kelley drop, or waiting for a Florida Georgia Line reunion, it is clear that authenticity and a love for the outdoors remain the true heartbeat of the Kelley family.
