‘Off The Record’ with Charly Reynolds
We chew the fat with emerging artist Charly Reynolds about her debut album ‘Off The Record’, a gruelling filming schedule in the desert and the humble backstory of her journey to country stardom.
From the palm trees and blue skies of Florida to the Honky Tonks and tassels of Music City, Charly Reynolds has been making her mark in the country music world over the last year, but you’ll recognise her name (and emotive vocals!) from the elegant cover of Brooks & Dunns ‘Neon Moon’ from back in 2022.
The independent artist is continuing the new year in true rising star style, with shows across Nashville, (including the iconic Listening Room), Texas and North Carolina. The 25-year-olds career truly blossomed the past 12 months with her debut album ‘Off The Record’ being released in September, offering listeners a glimpse into her personal experiences and artistic journey.
She also gained numerous spotlight placements on Spotifys playlists this year, including ‘New Music Nashville’. Songs on the album include; Love You Long, Visiting Hours & Blame It On My Boots, tune in to the full set below:
Back in 2018, Charly left the sunshine state and fled to the birthplace of cowboy hats and rhinestones with hopes of making it the big time in the home of country music, but it was no easy feat.
In this chat with Paul Ogletree, she spills the tea (or should we say whiskey?!) on the reality of moving across state at 18, performing at Miranda Lamberts bar on Broadway and making memories in the hot Arizona sun.
2024 wasn’t all about the music though, she also launched her own podcast, titled ‘Hey Char’ – hosting a range of singers/songwriters/actors about their journey whilst also sharing some honest insights into her own experience. Charly teases some new music for 2025 and playing as many shows as possible…so keep your eyes peeled for all her events coming up!
