SHERYL CROW NAMED BMI’S 2026 TROUBADOUR AWARD RECIPIENT

BMI announced Sheryl Crow will receive the 2026 Troubadour award honor next month at the PRO’s Nashville office. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has sold over 50 million albums worldwide, and continues to impact today’s generation of musicians with her beloved songs and fierce soul.

The BMI Troubadour award honors a master songwriter who’s made an indelible impact on American music, and continues to inspire new listeners and musicians in the industry. Previous Troubadour recipients include John Fogerty, Billy F. Gibbons, John Hiatt, Robert Earl Keen, John Oates, John Prine and Lucinda Williams. This year’s private ceremony will take place on September 14.

The nine-time GRAMMY award-winner released her 11th full-length album, Evolution in 2024 featuring singles “New Normal” and “See You On The Other Side.” She’s also earned more No. 1 singles on the Billboard Triple A chart than any other female artist in history. Known for her feel-good hits, “All I Wanna Do,” and “Soak Up the Sun” to name a few, she continues to stun audiences 40+ years after her debut with new music that bridges the gap of rock, pop and country genres.
