MIRANDA LAMBERT’S RECORD-BREAKING CMA HISTORY

There are few people in country music who have made the impression that Miranda Lambert has throughout her career. The 42-year-old entertainer has charmed audiences for decades, surprising fans with exciting collaborations, cheeky tunes, and hundreds of rhinestone encrusted cowboy boots.
The “Kerosene” singer is celebrating her new milestone as the most nominated female artist in CMA history, earning 70 total nominations to date. Additionally, she just became the most nominated artist in the Female Vocalist of the Year category, with 19 nods, beating Reba McEntire’s record of 18 nominations. Lambert continues her reign as the most awarded female artist in CMA history, with 14 wins to date.
These new records come on the heels of her 2026 CMA nominations, where she scored seven new nominations:
Single of the Year (2) – “Be Her” and “Choosin’ Texas”
Album of the Year – Dandelion
Song of the Year – “Choosin’ Texas”
Female Vocalist of the Year
Musical Event of the Year (2) – “A Song To Sing” (with Chris Stapleton) and “Horses and Divorces” (Kacey Musgraves featuring Miranda Lambert)
This year, she is the second most nominated artist following her fellow collaborator and friend, Ella Langley. Lambert is nominated as a producer in the Single of the Year and Album of the Year categories for her work on Langley’s Dandelion record. She’s nominated in the Song of the Year category credited as a songwriter on the continuous record-breaking hit, “Choosin’ Texas.”
Since her 2001 debut, Lambert continues to push the boundaries of the genre whether it’s through song, lyrics, or performances that honor her signature twang. She’s grown up alongside her audience, giving them anthems to survive a breakup or ballads to break hearts. She’s dominated this genre because she is a real woman behind the microphone, without the glamour and polished persona. She is messy, unfiltered, raw and unapologetic — traits that single her out from many artists in country music history. Without ever skipping a beat, she knows exactly who she is and what she wants to say.
She will release her new 12-track album, Crisco, on October 2, before appearing at the 60th CMA Awards on November 18.
