DOLLY PARTON RECEIVES AMERICANA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD IN PRE-TAPED VIDEO BEFORE HER PASSING

Last night (September 16), Dolly Parton was posthumously honored at the 2026 Americana Music Awards and Honors at the Ryman Auditorium in downtown Nashville with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Parton pre-taped a video before her passing, generously accepting the award and thanking the Americana Music Association for the honor. The video was played following an emotional introduction from Emmylou Harris, with Brandi Carlile and I’m With Her giving a beautiful tribute performance of Parton’s “Coat of Many Colors.”
“I’m honored to be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association. Roots music, or what is now called Americana music, is what I grew up playing back in the Smoky Mountains,” said Parton. She ends the video with her signature “…just know that I will always love you.”
