Ashley McBryde Launches New Light On Fund

Ashley McBryde has announced a new charitable initiative called Ashley McBryde’s Light On Fund, revealed on Giving Tuesday, which also happens to be her mother Martha’s birthday. The fund is inspired by her 2023 song “Light On In The Kitchen,” a track shaped by the wisdom and warmth of the women in her family. McBryde created the fund to support causes that have deeply influenced her life and career.
A Mission Rooted in Family and Community
“Light On In The Kitchen” reflects the life lessons passed down by McBryde’s mother and aunts, so using it as the foundation for the Light On Fund feels natural. The initiative will focus on several key areas, including mental health support for veterans, resources for the creative community, assistance for children in the foster care system, and better access to ASL interpretation at live music events.
The fund plans to highlight a different charitable focus each quarter beginning in 2026.
McBryde says she wants the organisation to be a place of comfort and connection, sharing that “leaving the light on” communicates love and support. She hopes the Light On Fund gives others the same sense of belonging she strives to create at her shows.
Inspired by a Lifetime of Generosity
Much of the inspiration comes from McBryde’s mother, Martha, who recently auctioned one of Ashley’s childhood dresses to support foster care efforts in Arkansas. That gesture reflects the spirit of the Light On Fund, which aims to show people they are seen and cared for, no matter where life takes them.
What Comes Next for Ashley McBryde
Along with launching the fund, McBryde will return to Eric Church’s venue Chief’s on Broadway for several shows in 2026. She recently opened Redemption, a non alcoholic bar inside the venue, further expanding her connection to Nashville’s creative community.
As the Light On Fund begins its work, Ashley McBryde continues to show why she is one of country music’s most admired storytellers and advocates, using her platform to help people feel supported and understood.
