A Heartfelt Message From Morgan Wallen

It’s been QUITE the year for one of country music’s biggest stars – Morgan Wallen.

Morgan hit the road for a whopping 87 shows, including 51 stadiums, 10 countries and three continents, as 2024 saw a finish line for his ‘One Night At A Time’ tour. Sold out gigs across the world wasn’t the only news making shiny headlines though as he also took home ‘Entertainer Of The Year’ at the 58th Annual CMA Awards, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.

But it wasn’t all pickup trucks and whiskey sippin’ this year though, as he found himself in court numerous times for reckless behaviour. His appearances came to a close last week as he pleaded guilty to throwing a chair from six stories high at a honky tonk in Nashville, back in April. He was sentenced to two years of probation and seven days in jail, to be served at a DUI education centre.

Morgan’s Career

Morgan graced our country-loving hearts back in 2014, as a contestant on The Voice. Bit he rocket-shipped to country music stardom with hits such as “Last Night”, “You Proof” and of course his “One Thing At A Time” album. In 2024, the 31-year old not only sold out a huge stadium worldwide tour, he released a catchy banger with Post Malone “I Had Some Help” that converted even the most averse country music fans.

His 2023 album ‘One Thing At A Time” remained top spot on the all genre Billboard 200 chart for 19 consecutive weeks, making it the most streamed album of the year on Spotify AND the most weeks at No. 1 for a country album.

As adoring fans will remember, back in Summer of 23′, Wallen also made headlines for a more casual reason: he revealed a brand new look at a gig in Ohio after whipping off his signature mullet and moustache, a nod to the aesthetic of the early 90’s… which of course, divided country fans all over social media.

Morgan Wallen in numbers:

– Contestant on The Voice in 2014
– Signed to Big Loud in 2016
– Released debut album ‘If I Know Me’ in 2018
– Became Billboard’s 200 #1 Album in 2021 with ‘Dangerous: The Double Album’
– Released his third studio album “One Thing At A Time” in 2023
– Entertained over 3 million fans across the world at his 2024 tour
– Won CMA ‘Entertainer Of The Year” in 2024

Despite his stratospheric success in recent years, it sounds like one of the only person who doubts Morgan is himself, but I’m sure playing to 3.1 million fans on his recent tour (which was the highest selling country music tour of all time!!) may sooth some self-doubt. He heads back out on stage in 2025 for his inaugural ‘Sand In My Boots Festival’, on the shores Alabama.
